- Local Aussie CNC Resources
Below a list of local Aussie suppliers we have personally had good experience with:
Hobby CNC Australia : https://www.facebook.com/HobbyCncAustralia
"Bob from Hobby CNC Australia manages a great face book page where lots of enthusiasts chat and exchange info. From time to time he releases some of his popular CNC kits however they sell out fast. They're all very friendly and full of knowledge so regardless of what machine you have or what your planning to buy / make, stop in there for a read or chat."
Homann Designs : http://www.homanndesigns.com/store
"Homann Designs in Melbourne have a store full of CNC goodies, they are also our local Aussie GeckoDrive distributor. We buy all our power supplies form Homann Designs rather than risking life and limb on unknown eBay cheapies! They have allot more than that though so go browse.
Aurarum : http://www.aurarum.com.au/
"Australia's only (as far as I am aware) producer of 3D print filament. They make it onsite in Melbourne. Most suppliers are importing however these guys have invested and tooled up to make quality filament right here at home. Its an easy choice to buy Australian as their filament amongst the most affordable and is good stuff."
Bilby3D : https://www.bilby3d.com.au/default.asp
"Nice Guys at Bilby3D, very helpful. We have been ordering bits and bobs from them for years and they are always friendly and prompt with the things we need arriving quickly. They have lots of machines, quality 3D print filament, hard to find parts and they will answer the phone and talk to you about your needs which is pretty rare these days! (not to say the others above wont, we've had them all on the phone for a chin wag about cnc as some point.)
